Zendaya and her stylist Law Roach came ready to make a strong bid for best dressed at the 2022 Oscars. The Dune actress arrived on the red carpet, wearing a white silk crop top with a glittering long silver skirt by Valentino. Zendaya posed solo. It’s unclear if her boyfriend Tom Holland is at the Oscars ceremony with her tonight.

Dune has a Best Picture nomination tonight. While Zendaya’s screen time in the film was limited, she will be playing a bigger role in the sequel and is excited to shoot it. “I’m ready to do a second,” Zendaya told InStyle for its November 2021 issue. “Whenever they call, I’m here. [Co-star] Timothée [Chalamet] is an extraordinary talent and just a lovely person—he’s become my family.”

Zendaya revealed to Empire magazine in August that she only spent a couple days working on set because her role as Chani was small in the first film. “My part is very, very small in this movie and that’s why I’m so excited to see it, to see what everyone’s been up to,” she said. “[Director Denis Villeneuve and I] had a little discussion about who Chani is and the strength she possesses. She’s a fighter, that’s what her people are. I only really had a few days with her, so I kind of scratched the surface but it was so much fun figuring her out. What does she walk like, what does she talk like? This is her planet, so how does she navigate this world? It was so fun.”

“I was only there for four days and I did not want to leave!” she added. “Denis understands what he wants from us but he’s also very collaborative, allowing me to have my take on the character as well. I don’t want to jinx anything but I can’t wait to explore her more.”
