It was rumored this month that 48-year-old Leonardo DiCaprio was potentially romancing 23-year-old model Victoria Lamas. Victoria is the daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas, and he has seemingly confirmed their date night in some comments to the New York Post on December 28.
“She’s very smitten,” he said. “I told her to treat the relationship like a holiday—just enjoy it as much as you can for as long as it lasts. And if it lasts for more than a typical holiday, great. But if not, then just guard your heart, you know? Because she’s very young.”
He did pull back a little, insisting that they are only friends.
“They’re friends, they’re not in a serious relationship,” he explained. “And I just want that to be clear….they’re not dating.”
He continued, “They’re just friends, but she is smitten, of course. And that was my cautionary tale to her: Just take one step at a time. But as of now, they’re not an item. They’re not exclusive to each other.”
Lorenzo mentioned the age gap between the two, saying it doesn’t bother him even though he acknowledged Victoria’s youth.
“Age is not really a factor for me as much as respect, trust and communication,” he said. “That’s the key.”
The pair were seen in Los Angeles together on December 20, leaving The Birds Street Club and entering a car together. But a source E! News that they were with a group, not one-on-one.
“They were seated (not next to each other) at a big group dinner,” the insider claimed. “They were joined by a number of other people in the car.”
Before Victoria came on the scene, DiCaprio had been spotted with 27-year-old model Gigi Hadid. That was also a relationship that was supposedly not very serious, and Hadid appears to have been spending the holidays with family.
