Another day, another award show. Tonight is the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards, and some of the biggest names in Hollywood are in attendance. That includes everyone’s favorite TV chef, Jeremy Allen White, who arrived wearing a bespoke white Giorgio Armani suit and black bow tie.
White walked the red carpet alone, without his girlfriend, Spanish singer Rosalía, at his side.
White won an Emmy Monday night for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his role of Carmy in The Bear. The show was also nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.
In a May 2023 interview with Vogue, White admitted that returning for season 2 of The Bear was a bit scary for him. “I called Joanna Calo, our showrunner, sometime in the summer, when I just realized, Oh wow, this isn’t going away anytime soon,” he recalled. “And then I got here, and I was talking to our camera operators, and I was like, ‘It feels so easy that I’m almost cautious of it.’”
“I think we’re all trying to do the same thing we did last season, which is just work together and have a good time together,” added co-star Ayo Edebiri. “But I think we’re all slightly more tired.”
When speaking with Variety in December 2023, White revealed what he knows about season 3: “I’ll tell you the truth, which is I think they’ve written a couple scripts. I have not read any. I do know in January I’m going to spend a fair amount of time getting together with some chefs. There’ll be a menu set, I believe, that’s going to be for the restaurant in the third season. And I know that I’m going to start putting together that menu with different chefs and cooking and just trying to get prepared to do more of that stuff on camera. We all did a lot of preparation before the first season. I went to culinary school, and I spent a lot of time in restaurants and stuff. And then, for the second season, so much of it was about putting the restaurant together, so there wasn’t that much cooking. But now, in the third season, I think we’re going to go back to that functioning kitchen atmosphere that we had in the first.”
White was also asked where he’s been keeping all of the awards he’s been winning.
“I’ve got one somewhere around here. There’s one in my daughter’s room. There’s one on a bookshelf. They’re scattered around. I want to make sure wherever anybody is, they can see,” White laughed.
