Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are about one year into dating, Us Weekly reports, and their relationship is as serious in private as it appears in public. “Timothée and Kylie are madly in love,” one source said. Multiple sources also discussed what their life together is like—and addressed where they stand on getting engaged.
For starters, a proposal isn’t on the horizon at this point. A second source close to the couple denied Chalamet was shopping for engagement rings after a third source alleged that Chalamet was “recently browsing Cartier engagement rings.”
However, a fourth source told Us that Chalamet has met Jenner’s two children, 5-year-old Stormi and 23-month-old Aire, albeit casually. “Timothée has met them in group situations where there were other family members or friends around,” that insider said. “It hasn’t been anything where it’s just Kylie, Timothée, and the kids in an intimate setting. And she introduced him as one of Mommy’s friends. Kylie feels like it’s [still] too soon to let them know anything about their relationship.”
Chalamet and Jenner started hooking up in early 2023, the fourth source said, noting that they hung out here and there after Chalamet left to film overseas. “They kept in touch, but things faded in and out,” they explained. Still, Chalamet and Jenner’s bond grew, and by fall, their relationship had stopped being just casual.
They spent a “good deal” of time together during the holidays, Us wrote, with Chalamet attending the Kardashians’ Christmas Eve party.
These days, “everything is going great between them,” the fourth source said. “They both have really busy schedules but make as much time for each other as possible. Timothée is always making Kylie smile. They have a very special connection.”
“They have a ton of mutual friends, and they like the same music. They also have a similar sense of humor,” that source continued. “Timothée’s always making Kylie laugh, and she can’t stop smiling when she’s with him. Obviously there’s a physical attraction there, but they also connect on a deeper level.”
The insider continued, “When they can’t be together, they text every day. They FaceTime and have long, late-night calls when they can. They can spend hours on the phone when they’re not together.”
That source added that Jenner and her ex Travis Scott do not talk about her relationship with Chalamet, just their children. “When Kylie and Timothée first started dating, Travis made a comment in passing that he doesn’t see it lasting, but he hasn’t mentioned anything since,” the insider said.
Us’ first source added, “Travis is a great co-parent, and he doesn’t have a strong opinion on Kylie’s relationship. He’s dating a lot of women at the moment.”
The rest of Jenner’s loved ones very much approve of Chalamet, the first source revealed: Her family “really likes Timothée; they think he’s funny and sweet and they love how into Kylie he is.”
The outlet’s fourth source reiterated that point, saying they “absolutely adore Timothée. They are all for this relationship and really hope it lasts.”
Jenner is set to attend Chalamet’s Dune 2 premiere in the coming weeks, the first source said: “They want to be able to celebrate each other’s milestones.”
