Zendaya went from wearing tennis ball-adorned Loewe stilettos in Rome to strutting the London premiere of Challengers in a white custom Thom Browne gown covered in tennis racquets. Zendaya and her stylist, Law Roach, added a feminine twist to the red carpet look, with the actress topping her braid ponytail with a giant white bow to complement the bow on the dress. The Thom Browne piece included an open back and a high leg slit, which Zendaya used to show off her sky-high white stilettos.
Zendaya spoke to ELLE in the summer about her longtime partnership with Roach, who serves as her creative director. “I ride super hard for my team, especially for people I love,” Zendaya said. “He’s involved in every fashion contract, everything I do. If I have an opportunity where he can come with me, he’s always going to be there. He’s always been my creative director in a sense, and he continues to fill that role, because it’s more than just clothes on a red carpet.”
Roach had equally glowing things to say about Zendaya and their future together. “Our relationship is like family, so I don’t think I’m going anywhere—and even if I wanted to, she wouldn’t let me,” he said.
He added that “I’m grateful for her giving me the opportunity to shine. It’s not often that such a big superstar like that is very generous and understanding when someone wants to step out. She’s been one of my biggest supporters.”
Roach and Zendaya’s work on the Challengers press tour comes on the heels of their Dune: Part Two press tour. Zendaya’s wardrobe throughout that was themed around that movie as well, with Zendaya wearing more sci-fi-inspired red carpet looks.
