At the end of May, Starz announced a premiere date for the new limited series Three Women based on the best selling book by acclaimed author Lisa Taddeo. The book was initially set to be adapted for Showtime in 2019, but the project was dropped as the network merged with Paramount+. The show was picked up only a week later by Starz.

Here’s what we know about the upcoming project so far.

What is Three Women about?

Taddeo’s novel follows three women going through epic change in their lives. Lina is a stay-at-home mom in suburban Indiana who embarks on an affair to escape her passionless marriage. Sloane is in a happy open marriage with Richard, balancing her work life as a business woman, but then two new potential lovers come in and disrupt their equilibrium. And Maggie is a student in North Dakota, who accuses her married English teacher of encouraging an inappropriate relationship. They’re all encouraged by a writer named Gia to share their stories, finding commonalities in their seemingly different realities.

Who is in the cast?

The series stars Gabrielle Creevy as Maggie, Betty Gilpin as Lina, DeWanda Wise as Sloane, and the rest of the cast includes Shailene Woodley as Gia, Blair Underwood as Richard, Jason Ralph, and John Patrick Amedori.
