Olay’s TikTok-viral Super Serum paved the way for the brand’s latest launch: The Super Eyes Daily Eye Serum. Starring caffeine and aloe vera, the serum both soothes and wakes up the area, restoring hydration and puffiness first thing in the morning. “Efficacious doesn’t have to mean expensive. This affordable eye cream is the perfect addition to the super serum—add the Olay Regenerist Ultra Rich Facial Moisturizer and its dissolvable Cleansing Melts pads (fun fact: Track star Sha’Carri Richardson uses them to wash her face!), and you have skin care routine that will keep your skin smooth, plump, and nourished without breaking the bank,” says ELLE’s digital beauty director, Danielle James.
Collagen is key in keeping skin looking young—when you have enough collagen, your skin stays plump and taught. However, natural collagen production slows down over the years, which is why our skin needs extra help as we age. Night creams like the new Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme+ Night Power Bounce Creme are formulated to help your skin bounce back. “I’ve been using this night cream for a few months. I’m obsessed with the texture, and that feeling encourages me to reach for it nightly. In addition to feeling good on my skin, it’s also quite nourishing,” says James. The product incorporates the brand’s CollaNight-8 technology and stars eight collagen-boosting ingredients, including moringa extract, algae extract, and vitamin E.
The original Naked Palette, launched in 2010, is a makeup legend. In its original run until 2018, over 30 million palettes made their way all over the world. “Years ago, I owned the original and loved it. Sin, Smog, and Toasted were my girls. I eventually got rid of it, thinking that I could repurchase the palette at any point—alas, Urban Decay discontinued it soon after. Finding out about its comeback may be the highlight of my year,” shares Carol Lee, ELLE.com associate beauty e-commerce writer. The new-and-improved palette, which features a slightly tweaked formula but the original shades and velvet packaging, launches August 4th; quantities are limited, so it’s best to act fast.
All eyes are on Paris for the Olympics, and Dior’s fall 2024 makeup collection also spotlights the City of Love. Entitled Plan de Paris, or Map of Paris, it’s a celebration of the fashion house’s birthplace. The motif featured on this palette’s pouch, a map that showcases Parisian places important to Dior, first appeared on a scarf Christian Dior dreamed up, and each of the different eyeshadow palette colorways pay homage to one of those locations. For example, 30 Montaigne, which includes two silvers, a gold-khaki, and a muted pink, is named after the first location of Dior’s workshops.
Cécred has added a new product to its original lineup: The Hydrating Conditioner. Created as the counterpart to the Hydrating Shampoo, it is designed to deeply hydrate strands without leaving them feeling heavy or greasy. The formula features the brand’s signature scent, Temple Oud, and includes olive oil, keratin ferment, and other hair-supporting ingredients.
