It’s always exciting to see entry-price point brands make an appearance at New York Fashion Week, especially COS. The Swedish brand has become a go-to for editors who are shopping for minimalist pieces that whisper chic. So, of course, the latest runway collection was no different.
With Issa Rae, Emily Ratajkowski, Colman Domingo, Chloë Sevigny sitting in the front row, the fall 2024 collection at COS leaned into a solid neutral palette, which relied on a host of sleek navy blues and sophisticated grays with a splash of apple green socks worn with matching ballet flats. For those thinking about a workwear refresh, the unstructured blazers are a great place to start. During the runway show, the free-flowing silhouette moved with the model’s body in a way that feels undeniably modern, while still encapsulating the essence of the timeless wardrobe staple. Similarly, the trousers in COS’s autumn release have also received a makeover, with barrel shapes and pleated wraps, breathing new life into the closet essentials.
Plus, there were plenty of coats and jackets to wrap up in, from oversized shearling toppers that offer soft touch in any closet to cozy wool coats that come with elegant draping for easy layering.
What’s even more exciting is what we found in the accessories department. COS has been known to craft a playful puffy clutch. This time, the brand went even bigger with a boxy leather take.
As with all of these special drops, they’re here today and gone tomorrow. So let’s get into the very best pieces from the COS Fall 2024 collection before its too late.
