This week, The Bear stars Jeremy Allen White and Molly Gordon were seen kissing in Los Angeles and a source tells People that the connection was evident on set before they began to explore it off set. Allen and Gordon were cast as love interests on the Hulu series.

“There were set rumors early on that they had intense chemistry even when not filming,” said the insider. “They didn’t start hanging out romantically until a few weeks ago though.”

They added that White “really seems into Molly…She spends time at his house. They go on lunch dates and seem to have a great time. They’re affectionate, often in deep conversations and seem curious to get to know each other better.”

On September 25, TMZ shared photos of Gordon and White embracing and sharing a kiss on the street, before noting that White held a car door open for Gordon.

Gordon lives in New York City, but White lives in Los Angeles. The source says she has been visiting during their off season. The actor has two children, Ezer and Dolores, with his ex-wife Addison Timlin. The insider says that White is “very involved with his kids,” so he lives close to them whenever he’s not working.

In June, White praised Gordon’s performance on The Bear to Variety.

“I also think Molly [Gordon] does such an amazing job,” he said. “She’s so disarming and funny and charming. I think it didn’t allow Carmy to build up his his regular walls. She knocked them down with ease and allowed Carmy to feel cared for, which must have just been so welcomed because I don’t know the last time Carmy would have allowed himself to be cared for.”

In July, she told Glamour how excited she was to get cast across from White.

“I didn’t know anything about the role when I signed on,” she said. “Once they sent me the scripts and I started reading, I couldn’t believe they would put me in the same room as Jeremy Allen White. My slob self? How dare they? I was very nervous because he is such a brilliant actor, and I wanted to live up to his talent. But I trusted that Chris knew we would have a nice flow.”
