On Tuesday afternoon, Ariana Grande broke out the vintage Christian Dior and stepped out in a shimmering satin midi dress fit for Glinda’s closet. Grande wore the pale pink number to the Golden Globes first-time nominee luncheon at The Maybourne in Beverly Hills with her mother, Joan, by her side. The star was recently nominated in the supporting actress category for her role as Glinda in Jon M. Chu’s Wicked.
Grande wore pointed toe heels in matching satin, as well as a pair of pearl earrings for the occasion. For makeup, the pop star wore shimmering eye shadow with a cat eye and dark pink lipstick. She had her hair pulled back in a ponytail with a side part.
In an interview with Variety, Grande discussed her upcoming plans as a performer, including her intention to take a break from touring while she focuses on her acting career.
“I feel so grateful to the acting, and I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life, but I don’t see it coming anytime soon,” she shared. “I think the next few years, hopefully we’ll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now.”
She continued, “I am appreciative for [my fans’] understanding. I’m so grateful for the ways in which we’ve grown together over this whole journey with Wicked. But music will always be a part of my life.”
During the luncheon, Grande was photographed speaking with other nominees and guests, including Zoe Saldaña, who received her first Golden Globe nomination for her role in Emilia Pérez.
Other first-time nominees include Mikey Madison for Anora, Pamela Anderson for The Last Showgirl, and Kathryn Hahn for her performance in Agatha All Along.
