The Kansas City Chiefs fell short of winning their third Super Bowl in a row, losing 22 to 40 to the Philadelphia Eagles. As such, the Chiefs’ tight end, Travis Kelce, and girlfriend Taylor Swift had no kiss or celebration on the field.
But they did meet after the game. Kelce was filmed going to his suite, where Swift watched the game with his family and friends, including Ice Spice and the Haim sisters.
Reporter Danilo Lacalle posted footage, tweeting in Portuguese, “Travis Kelce arrived at Taylor Swift’s box to accompany the blonde out of the stadium, after losing the Super Bowl LIX.” Five minutes later, he added that there was a plan “to get Taylor Swift out of the stadium.”
Entertainment Tonight also shared footage of Kelce going to his suite to meet Swift and his loved ones.
Unsurprisingly, given the Chiefs’ loss, Swift and Kelce chose to keep their initial reunion private. Kelce gave an interview to reporters post-game where he was understandably down about the outcome. He said their coach’s message to them was “this one is gonna hurt. Let it hurt and figure it out how to get better because of it.”
Last year’s Super Bowl was a different story. Swift and Kelce fêted the team’s 2024 victory, with the couple kissing in front of photographers. They did the same at the AFC Championship last month after Kelce and the Chiefs won.

Swift has long been comfortable showing public affection for Kelce. In a December 2023 Time interview—she and Kelce started dating that summer—she spoke about why she has no qualms being so public with her relationship. Swift had previously been in a very private six-year relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn.
“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she said. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
Last month, Kelce spoke on The Stephen A. Smith Show about how supportive Swift is and how it has changed his life.
“I think personally that’s the beauty of being in a really strong relationship is that you get that support to be able to focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of you,” he began. “You know, that’s why I wanted to be at the concerts, support her and being there for her, making sure she feels comfortable and supported in everything she’s doing in life. I’m as focused as I’ve ever been on my job and being the best player I can possibly be week in and week out for this team. It’s because I don’t have to worry about things off the field.”
