Justin Baldoni and his wife, Emily Baldoni, have been together for over a decade and share two children. The Jane the Virgin star still gushes about his life partner at every opportunity.
“I had made the same mistake so many times, searching for something in a package that I thought I would want,” he told Makers in 2018. “When I met Emily, it was unlike all my other experiences. She had like a depth and a grace and this quiet strength that I think I always dreamed of, and I just knew.”

Who is Emily Baldoni?
Emily Baldoni was born in 1984 in Uppsala, Sweden, before moving to Hollywood. Like her husband, Emily is an actress. She’s had roles in How I Met Your Mother, Five Feet Apart, and the movie mystery Coherence.
“I have been in L.A. for eight years and studied ever since, in features and also a lot of TV,” she said in a 2013 interview with Mandatory.com.
She added, “I’m 100 percent Swedish and now you will probably hear…When people know they’re like, ‘Ah, there it is.’ ”
Emily and Justin are very civic-minded. They founded the Skid Row Carnival of Love, an annual event to help the homeless in downtown Los Angeles
“We make food for 6,000 people. All my friends from various film catering services come together and we have a big barbecue. At the end of the day, it culminates in a dance party with some of L.A.’s best DJs,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in 2019.

How long have they been together?
The couple was married in 2013 in Corona, California. Justin shared a long proposal video that went viral that same year. It took place at Blu Jam Cafe, which he shared was where they had their first date.
It was an incredibly elaborate set-up that even included a flash mob. The video of the event garnered over 14 million views. Later, Emily told Entertainment Tonight, “I just kept telling myself, ‘This is not a proposal! This is not a proposal! It’s something else.’ He’s the master of surprises. The master.”
With so much interest in their proposal, Justin also shared a video of their vows on Full Frame Cinema’s YouTube channel.
“I want to start off my vows to you with an apology: I’m sorry for all my faults, my shortcomings, my insecurities and my ego and for everything that I’ve ever done or said that’s hurt you and everything that I’ve brought to this relationship that hasn’t been pure,” Justin said in the clips. “With that apology also comes a promise. Emily, for the rest of my life, I will cherish you, I will appreciate you, I will listen to you, I will laugh with you [and] I will take care of you.”
Do they have any children?
In another popular YouTube video titled Justin and Emily: The Surprise, the surprise turned out to be pregnancy. On June 27, 2015, they welcomed their daughter Maiya Grace. In Justin and Emily: The Surprise Part 2, the surprise was less surprising. Their son Maxwell Roland-Samuel Baldoni was born on Oct. 18, 2017.
In a 2019 interview for Mini magazine, Justin and Emily each praised one another’s parenting skills.
“I hope they grow up and have much more of her than me,” Justin said.
Emily stated, “Justin has an incredible way of bringing magic to the smallest moments. The kids’ eyes light up whenever he comes into the room.”
In 2024, he celebrated Mother’s Day with a TikTok of Emily reading aloud to their kids from the Harry Potter series, calling her “magical.”
