Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater Are Getting ‘Super Serious’: She Sees ‘Long-Term’ Potential With Him

Culture

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater’s relationship is really escalating, Us Weekly reported. A source explained why Grande and Slater are becoming “super serious” at this point. Grande is newly divorced from Dalton Gomez, which was finalized on October 6. Slater, meanwhile, is in the process of finalizing his divorce from Lilly Jay. Grande and Slater started dating earlier this year after their breakups. They were first friends and met on the set of Wicked.

“She sees herself with him for the long term,” the source said, adding that Slater and Grande are making plans for the future. “He always puts his family first but adores her and is very cognizant of her feelings,” the source said, calling Slater “a great listener, very proactive.” He “wants to be the best partner he can be [for Grande].”

They have met each other’s families and bond “over the simplest things and just genuinely get along without trying,” the source said. “They can just be each other around one another.”

Generally, “[they have] a lot in common, especially their theatrical side,” the source said, saying that interest adds to their chemistry. “They’re a little dorky and [both] theatre geeks at heart. She loves that about him. It’s mutual. Their relationship is blossoming. It’s effortless with zero drama.”

Grande and Slater were seen out twice over the past weekend. Grande attended Slater’s Spamalot show on Saturday and left the theater with him after. On Sunday, the couple had a date night at Gutenberg! The Musical. The show’s star Andrew Rannells posted a photo of the couple alongside him and co-star Josh Gad backstage.

“We had some big fun in Schlimmer yesterday!” Rannells wrote. “Spamalot’s Ethan Slater AND Michael Urie! Two great guys to eat dreams with. Plus Ariana Grande! It was a perfect Sunday. Go see Spamalot! 🧡🧡🧡”
