Ever since Beyoncé announced her country album, Cowboy Carter, on Super Bowl Sunday, the singer has been dressing in Western glam ensembles. Yesterday on Instagram, Queen Bey tipped her cowboy hat once more to her new style era.
Beyoncé posted photos of herself posing in a stunning denim set by Alexander McQueen. The look consisted of a peplum jacket paired with a miniskirt. She wore black Givenchy Shark Lock boots with it and added tinted aviator sunglasses. Her curly, honey-blonde hair reached her waist.
To complete her “denim on denim” look, she carried a navy-blue baguette bag emblazoned with the name “JOLENE” front and center. Beyoncé, of course, released her own version of Dolly Parton’s classic song on Cowboy Carter. Her “Jolene” bag was made by French designer Marc Ozias.
“WE DIT IT !!!” Ozias wrote in an Instagram post shared later that day. “I told my mom a very long time ago that Beyoncé would wear my bag. Please never give up on your dreams.”
Beyoncé also shared a second Instagram yesterday of her in another denim look. For that outfit, Beyoncé wore a light-wash denim top with jeans, a cowboy hat, and Isabel Marant’s light blue Fontizi coat. She finished the outfit off with Shyanne Mojave Western boots.
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter has been very commercially successful following its March 29 release. The album has spent two weeks in the top spot of the Billboard 200.
This isn’t Beyoncé’s first time accomplishing that feat. Her self-titled album, Beyoncé, spent three weeks in that position, while 4 was number one for two weeks.
