Blake Lively has been wearing florals throughout her It Ends With Us press tour as a subtle nod to her character, a florist—and today in New York City was different. The actress stepped out in not one, but two summery looks fit for a garden party, including Dauphinette’s feather-trimmed “Heaven Is a Place on Earth” dress, which she belted and paired with drop earrings.
Later on, Lively changed into a second white floral dress with a plunging neckline and full skirt. She accessorized with pink heels.
It’s a big day for Lively. In addition to promoting her upcoming film, she also announced her hair care line, Blake Brown, which has been seven years in the making.
In an exclusive interview with ELLE.com, she revealed her best piece of hair care advice: “Treat your hair well, and it will treat you well. Listen to your hair—that’s the biggest thing. I don’t follow any formula. People will ask, ‘How often do you wash [your hair]?’ And it changes! Just listen to your hair. If you put stuff in your hair, you’ll be able to feel [if your] hair responded. In any good relationship, there’s great communication and mutual respect. I know it feels silly to anthropomorphize hair in that way, but it’s true. I do listen to my hair.”
She also spoke about her decision to release a hair care line instead of making a foray into the fashion world, as Lively famously styles herself. “I love clothes. I love a number,” she said. “Hire me to be a costume designer for some crazy set. But you’ll see my love of design through [my hair care collection].”
