A fabulously dressed Blue Ivy Carter joined her parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z at the Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles this past weekend and shocked attendees—including Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson—when the 10-year-old Grammy winner bid $80,000 on a pair of Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings. The Today Show reported that Blue’s grandmother, Beyoncé’s mom and the gala’s host Tina Lawson, wore the earrings, which once belonged to Bey.
Another Twitter user noted that Blue also outbid Tyler Perry. Brunson shared footage of Blue’s $80k bid on Instagram.
Beyoncé shared photos of her strapless gown and elbow-length pink gloves she wore to the event. Her husband Jay-Z also appeared in a black suit in Bey’s slideshow of images, although Blue did not.
Lawson shared a little insight about what Blue is like at age 10 on Instagram for her birthday in January. Lawson wrote of Blue:
My beautiful Talented and super smart Grandaughter Blue Ivy turned 10 today! God it seemed like yesterday you came into the world running things. Blue is my little Capricorn Twin . I prayed for her to be born on my birthday but she did what she always does she came when she got good and ready 😂three days later but we still share the bond. She reminds me that “Grandma you are acting just like a Capricorn.” Blue gives the best advice like a grown person I sometimes forget that she is so young!!!😂!😂” Blue is one of those rare gifted people that can do everything well! God Blessed me the day you were born! My Sweet , Beautiful Baby Blue❤️❤️❤️🎂🎂💥Happy Birthday 🎂❤️🙏🏽
