Dua Lipa celebrates her 29th birthday today, and she’s ringing in the milestone in style.
The pop star posted a photo dump on her Instagram to commemorate the occasion, showing off a large bouquet of pink balloons. “29!!!! And life just keeps getting better,” Lipa captioned the carousel. “Thank you for all the birthday wishes!! I love you guys xxx.”
In keeping with her (relatable) passion for vacations, the Radical Optimism singer posed in a tropical location, wearing a bright orange bikini set from Gucci. She layered a glittering gold mesh top over the swimwear to infuse her look with even more glam, and accessorized with a chunky gold chain (also from Gucci) and a wrist full of gold bangles.
Last week, Lipa shared even more bikini photos alongside vacation snaps with friends, so it’s safe to guess she’s enjoying her birthday with an extended trip. At this point, vacationing has become so integrated with her personal brand that fans have joked she has no home address.
Lipa has defended the constant stamping of her passport before. She shared in a January interview with Rolling Stone that “Of course, I was going to f*cking holiday and chill [during] the year that I was just going in the studio and had some time off…As long as I’m doing my job, hitting my deadlines, and getting my shit done, then I will find a way to relax, too. It’s really work hard and play hard. Why not?”
Lipa added, “I think people are quick to forget. I was on tour up until the end of December. I felt like I missed out on so much time with my family and friends. It shows how short our attention span is, which is why music comes out so much faster.”
