On Saturday, Dua Lipa shared her first photo with Callum Turner on Instagram since rumors started circulating that the pair had gotten engaged over the holiday. She posted a carousel of pics starting with the shot of them together, smiling adoringly at one another. The singer is wearing a black leather jacket over a black bra and a number of silver chain necklaces and rings.
She has her arm wrapped around Turner’s neck and his hands are at her waist. The actor is wearing a black zipper jacket and smiling from ear-to-ear. She captioned the post, “tooooooooo much fun.”
It was rumored this week that Turner and Lipa had gotten engaged. Lipa posted another carousel from her holiday just after Christmas in which she is wearing a ring on her left ring finger. Included in the collection of photos was another selfie of her and Turner laughing together.
A source speaking to The Sun alleged that the pair are engaged and planning to throw a big New Year’s Eve party to celebrate with family and friends.
“Dua and Callum are so in love and know this is forever. They are engaged and couldn’t be happier,” claimed the insider. “Dua has had one of the best years of her career professionally and this is the cherry on the cake. Callum is such a solid support for Dua and they make a wonderful couple. Their family and friends are so happy. It’s been an amazing Christmas for them.”
Early this year, the pop star shared her thoughts on romance while speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1.
“In terms of relationships, I needed to get to this place in order to find what I really needed,” she shared. “You have to be in the act of forgiveness and growing and learning, and being okay with the past in order to move on with what’s to come next. So it’s, for me, Happy for You is a beautiful, happy song, because it’s so reflective of my journey.”
She continued, “I think with every relationship, with every experience you learn about yourself, you learn about things that are hurtful to you, what you expect, what you should be ready to give as well. I think, again, it goes back to that exchange of vulnerability.”
