If it’s good enough for Taylor Swift’s rehearsals, it’s good enough for me, right? In her recent “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” music video, the Eras Tour queen was seen rocking a series of flattering athleisure outfits, from a burgundy skort, to a lavender tennis skirt and sports bra combo. As Swift danced and sang in behind-the-scenes footage, one particular pair of butt-sculpting leggings caught my eye. I’d already ordered leggings from the exact same brand to test out. In her music video, Swift opted for the textured Booty by Brabants Chrome Leggings Beijo ($90), which are high-waisted and made with compression fabric. However, mine are the Booty by Brabants Super Stretch Pocket Leggings ($95).
Given that both styles only come in “one size” (XS-L) or “curvy” (L-3X), my initial thoughts went something like, “How could one size possibly fit everyone?” But to my surprise, these leggings (and the Booty by Brabants brand in general) far exceeded my expectations. Read on for the full review of one of Swift’s favorite legging brands.
What I Liked
Let’s start with what makes these leggings so unique: their sizing. The one-size-fits-all concept originally gave me pause, but after seeing several friends with different body types purchase them, I started to see the Booty by Brabants sizing as a positive. In a way, it’s nice not having to sift through numerous sizes or read reviews and hope for the best. Speaking for myself, my leggings fit like a glove (likely due to the amount of stretch in the fabric) and hit all of my workout-legging requirements:
- They’re high-waisted with a tight, secure waistband.
- They’re made with sweat-wicking fabric.
- They can be washed in the washing machine.
- They’re made with thick, compressive material that doesn’t show sweat.
- The pockets are deep enough to hold my phone securely.
If that wasn’t enough, these leggings are also made of biodegradable, toxin-free material. I can’t say enough about the high quality of these leggings, and they ended up being perfect for my weekly runs.
What’s Worth Noting
The quality of these leggings is truly impressive, but design-wise, I can’t say I’m obsessed. Booty by Brabants is known for its textured material, but it’s not my favorite style-wise. This, of course, is my own personal preference (there are plenty of people who love this material . . . Swift included), but I have yet to jump on the bandwagon. I’m also not the biggest fan of the logo, which is showcased loud and proud on the back of the leggings. To be clear, BBB’s quality surpasses all of these style preferences by a landslide, but if I’m being picky, these are the details that come to mind.
Who Are the Booty by Brabants Pocket Leggings Best For?
While I personally wear my Booty by Brabant’s leggings for runs, I wholeheartedly believe they’re great for every type of workout. Whether it be high intensity, low intensity, lifting weights, or training for the Eras Tour, these leggings will support you through it all. Not to mention they’re perfectly comfortable, so if you want to throw them on to run a few errands (or listen to a little T-Swift), I’m right there with you.
Additional Details
- Booty by Brabants is one size fits all.
- Sustainably made, the material is biodegradable and toxin-free.
- The leggings feature two deep pockets on each side.
- Fade and pill resistant, their material is built to last.
