Most days, the only piece of jewelry I wear isn’t even jewelry — it’s the Oura Ring, a fitness and wellness tracker. Loved by PS editors and a must have of Jennifer Aniston, the ring has very much improved my sleep. I have two toddlers, so this was a true feat. It’s helped not only reduce but also improve my relationship with stress as well. Working in the wellness industry for almost a decade, I’ve tried many trackers and gadgets, but this is the one that has truly changed my life for the better.

The Oura Ring 4 ($349-$499) is minimalist enough to be worn from the gym to a cocktail party. Now, thanks to a TikTok trend created by user Hannah Gard, you can be inspired to elevate your Oura Ring by adding a pair of stackable bands ($10).

Yes, all it takes is a bit of added sparkle to transform your Oura Ring into statement jewelry. Keep scrolling to read about how I tried the Oura Ring stacking trend.

About the Oura Ring

  • It’s a fitness and wellness tracker that can be worn day and night to collect health metrics and insights.
  • It has four generations.
  • The Oura Ring Gen4 battery can last over a week.
  • The Oura Ring Gen4 is available in size 4-15 and available in finishes including: silver, black, brushed silver, stealth, gold, and rose gold.
  • It is HSAFSA eligible.

What I Like About Stacking the Oura Ring

For the best insights, it is recommended to wear the Oura ring day and night. Yes, even if you’re going to a black tie event. The TikTok trend is all about stacking two pavé bands around the Oura ring, but I like stacking my gold Oura Ring Gen3 with one band. My preferred look comes courtesy of the woman-founded brand KBH Jewels: the Reclaimed Wonder Woman band in 14k gold ($300) or the Reclaimed Wonder Woman band 14k gold with diamond ($600). Yes, it’s an investment piece of jewelry, but I’m a minimalist with rings — aside from my Oura and wedding rings, it’s the only one I have. I also like that it’s a unique shape that adds a bit of flair to the timeless style of the Oura Ring.

When stacking other rings with the Oura Ring, it’s important to be mindful of the placement. For the best accuracy, it is recommended to wear the Oura Ring on your index finger, though middle and ring can also work well. The sensor bumps inside of the Oura Ring should be on the palm side of your finger, which also just looks better. Because Oura Rings are recommended to be worn fitted, I appreciate that it helps my stacking ring, which is a bit looser, in place.

When selecting rings to stack, it’s worth keeping in mind the fairly limited real estate on your finger. Both the Oura Ring Gen4 and Gen3 are 7.9mm wide, and the newest model is slightly less thick at about 2.88mm vs. 2.7mm for the Gen3. It’s only a few millimeters, but it does make it look slightly less bulky. For a more dainty stacked ring, go with this thinner model.

Overall, I’m fully committed to this trend and now can’t imagine wearing my Oura Ring bare.
