Meghan Markle can’t stay for the full Invictus Games, which run through February 16. Still, the Duchess of Sussex squeezed in two early Valentine’s Day dinner dates with her husband, Prince Harry, at acclaimed restaurants in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada.
The couple’s first outing was a triple date, Hello! reports. On Saturday, Meghan and Harry went to Vij’s with Michael Bublé, his wife Luisana Lopilato, Meghan’s former assistant Chantelle Humphrey, and her husband Luke. The restaurant’s owner and head chef, Vikram Vij, shared a photo of the couples on Instagram.
“Another incredible night at Vij’s ✨” Vij wrote. “When food brings people together, magic happens! We were honored to once again welcome Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Michael Bublé, and Luisana Lopilato for another unforgettable evening at Vij’s. Sharing great conversation, incredible flavors, and the joy of coming together—this is what dining is all about! A special night made even more meaningful as we celebrate the opening of the 2025 Invictus Games—a powerful tribute to resilience, courage, and the human spirit.”
Vij also spoke to Hello! about Meghan and Harry.“They are amazing, extremely beautiful, and very friendly,” he said. “Meghan is awesome and loved all the food. She remembered the chilis from last time, and I was totally impressed because she knew bhindi is the Hindi word for okra.”
On February 10, Meghan and Harry reunited with Bublé and Lopilato for a double date at Italian restaurant Il Caminetto in Whistler. Town & Country reported that Meghan wore a Carolina Herrera cape and Aquazzura heels with a pair of $3,600 diamond Maya Brenner earrings, which Harry gave her last Valentine’s Day.
Yesterday, Meghan made her last appearance with Harry in Whistler, wearing an Aritzia puffer coat and Sorel boots. Hello! reported that Meghan was expected to leave Tuesday.
A source close to Invictus spoke to the outlet about how Meghan’s early departure was “always planned.”
The insider said, “Meghan is going home to be with her children [Lilibet and Archie, who are in Montecito, California]. Meghan left the games in Dusseldorf early after five days to go home. This is Prince Harry’s event, and she is there to support him, but this was planned.”
