If you miss 2000s-era Jennifer Lopez, Coach is here to remind you that she’s still Jenny from the block. As a face of the brand since 2019, Lopez takes a ride back to her past in its spring 2022 campaign series, aptly titled “That’s My Ride.” The OG triple threat sits atop a BMX bike, instantly reminding us of her 2001 hit single “I’m Real.” All we’re missing is Ja Rule.

“Back in the day we only had the horse and carriage to get around, but now we have bikes and cars and boats and planes and rockets and everything,” she exclusively told ELLE.com.And this story is about how Coach’s Horse & Carriage still keeps up, no matter how you ride.”

In the campaign, Lopez wears a two-piece matching set that harkens back to her reign in the mid-aughts—they’re totally my vibe, anybody who knows me knows I live in sweatsuits”—except this time around, she’s wearing it with Coach’s new Horse & Carriage Field Tote, which she joked she was going to steal from set. And despite working with the brand for three years, their partnership shows no signs of slowing down. “We’re one and the same, the perfect collab,” she says.

The whole Coach family is along for the ride. Lensed and directed by Tyler Mitchell in collaboration with Coach creative director Stuart Vevers, the brand playfully riffs on its Horse and Carriage image with an approach to Americana, showcasing its stars and their modern-day modes of transportation: alongside Lopez and her X Games-esque two-wheeler, Megan Thee Stallion hangs out in a Hummer while Wisdom Kaye and Noah Beck cruise around Brooklyn in a hot pink Jeep.

This isn’t Lopez’s only romp with Y2K. She’s also making her triumphant return to the rom-com spotlight with her upcoming film Marry Me. I would say it’s a true romance story, which I love,” she told us. It’s the first time I’ve done music and film together since Selena. Actually, it’s the first time I’ve ever really sang in the movie and did my own whole album for the movie, separate from a Jennifer Lopez/JLo album.”

The movie follows Lopez’s character, Kat Valdez, a global pop star (sound familiar?), who’s set to marry her stage partner live on TV, only for it to fall apart. She then ends up accepting a proposal from a school teacher in the audience, played by Owen Wilson. Antics ensue, so it’s safe to say this might be the movie we’re all looking forward to this year. Out Feb. 11, it’s dropping just in time for the holiday of love. It’s my Valentine’s Day present to all of you!” she says.
