Jennifer Lopez Wears Cutout Gown and Shows Toned Torso at Wicked Premiere

Culture

On Saturday, Jennifer Lopez attended the premiere of Wicked at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles looking stunning in an intricately beaded cutout gown by designer Zuhair Murad. The high-halter neckline and skirt slits revealed the actress’s toned torso and long legs, and the gown left her back uncovered.

She wore the shimmering earth-tone look with glittering nude heels, a sparkling clutch purse, and chunky beaded bracelets by Sabyasachi. J.Lo’s hair was swept up with honey blonde tendrils framing her face. She had on a bronzed and glowing makeup palette with glimmering eyeshadow and a glossy lip.

In early October, Lopez opened up to Interview magazine about her current romantic life since her divorce from actor Ben Affleck.

“I used to say I’m a happy person, but was still looking for something for somebody else to fill, and it’s just like, ‘No, I’m actually good,’” she shared.

Coming back together with Affleck and then separating after several years of marriage was a shock, she admitted, saying, “I felt like, whoa, I got here. I’m good. I did all the work and look at where I am, and then it was like my whole fucking world exploded.”

The star continued, “There’s no arrival point. There’s only getting better and growing if you want to. It’s either growing or dying, and I don’t want to do the dying part. And yeah, there’s times when I thought I figured it out, and then life goes, ‘Let’s send you another thing and see if you fall for it. Let’s see if you really have learned that lesson.’ And I hadn’t.”

J.Lo explained she now understands that type of growth in a “much deeper way,” and explained she’s working on being “healthy.”

“You have to be complete, if you want something that’s more complete,” Lopez shared. “You have to be good on your own. I thought I learned that, but I didn’t. And then, this summer, I had to be like, ‘I need to go off and be on my own. I want to prove to myself that I can do that.’”
