The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge rarely show what life is like inside their home, but on Sunday, Kate Middleton shared an excruciatingly cute photo montage of baking cakes with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis on social media. The group is currently in Wales as representatives of the royal family there to enjoy festivities celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
“Baking cakes for the local community in Cardiff to enjoy at a Platinum Jubilee street party taking place today! We hope you like them!” the photo montage is captioned.

In the kitchen, the three children are dressed casually in polos and shorts, the boys in navy blue and Charlotte in a light pink. Kate wore a checkered red and white shirt with a v-neck and wide collar. In some photos they’re mixing things in bowls, in another Charlotte breaks an egg with a smile to the camera, in one Charlotte and Louis are working together with concentration, and a there’s a sweet pic of Kate and Charlotte smiling at one another as they ice the final product.
On Saturday, during the service celebrating the monarch’s 70th year on the throne, Prince Charles gave a moving speech about his mother as images he personally chose of her were shown behind him.
“Your Majesty, Mummy,” he said. “The scale of this evening’s celebration – and the outpouring of warmth and affection over this whole Jubilee weekend – is our way of saying thank you – from your family, the country, the Commonwealth, in fact the whole world…On behalf of us all, I wanted to pay my own tribute to your lifetime of selfless service. Your family now spans four generations. You are our Head of State. And you are also our mother.”
He continued, “Your ‘strength and stay’ is much missed this evening but I am sure he is here in spirit… My Papa would have enjoyed the show and joined us wholeheartedly in celebrating all you continue to do for your country and your people.”
