On Saturday, sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner attended the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles wearing two dramatic cutout gowns from separate designers. Kendall wore a velvet Schiaparelli halter gown featuring cutouts all along the bodice that were emphasized with a silver brooch at the neckline. Her blonde hair was up in glamorous curls and she had diamond earrings for extra sparkle. On her feet were a pair of open-toe black pumps.
Kylie wore a semi-sheer Thierry Mugler gown from the 1998 collection with a nude bodice covered in sequins that segued into a black skirt with a hem that went all the way to ground. The Kylie Cosmetics founder had her hair down and loose in soft waves.
The sisters walked the red carpet together. Kylie is currently dating actor Timothée Chalamet, who has been working on a new film in New York City. Kendall has reportedly been seen with her ex-boyfriend Devin Booker, kindling reconciliation rumors. The Jenners seemed to be enjoying themselves at the star-studded event, which is used to raise money for the museum’s education programs and exhibitions.
The girls’ older sister, Kim Kardashian, was also at the event wearing an archival Mugler ensemble with a white corset and matching jacket, plus Tiffany & Co. necklace, rings and earrings.
All three of them posed together alongside model Kaia Gerber inside the venue.
This year, the gala honored Paul Mescal, Rita Moreno, and Quentin Tarantino; Mescal received the Vantage Award as an emerging artist, Moreno was honored with the Icon Award, and Tarantino was given the Luminary Award.
The evening’s co-chairs included Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek, Eva Longoria, Tyler Perry, and Academy Museum trustee Dr. Eric Esrailian. The gala’s host committee was comprised of Kirsten Dunst, Ariana Grande, Demi Moore, and Saoirse Ronan.
