As a reality TV star, Khloé Kardashian has shared quite a bit about her dating life, even starring in a show with her former husband, Lamar Odom. Now on Hulu’s The Kardashians, she has revealed a lot about her up-and-down relationship with current co-parent Tristan Thompson.
But there’s plenty she has kept to herself, and it seems like Kardashian may be taking a break from dating as she concentrates on raising her two children, True and Tatum.
Here’s what there is to know about Khloé Kardashian’s dating history.
Rashad McCants
Kardashian dated former NBA player Rashad McCants for about seven months spanning 2008 into 2009. At the time, 24-year-old Kardashian blogged about their breakup and said that McCants’ busy schedule was its cause.
“He’s in a different city every day for games,” she wrote. “Our time together was just so limited because of both of our schedules that we decided it is best not to be in a committed relationship. The last seven months have been great, and we will definitely remain close friends.”
Derrick Ward
In 2009, NFL running back Derrick Ward accompanied Kardashian to Mexico for Kourtney Kardashian’s 30th birthday, according to Page Six. But it was ultimately just a few dates and petered out.
Lamar Odom
Kardashian’s next big romance was with basketball player Lamar Odom, whom she met at a party for Ron Artest in the summer of 2009. The couple had a true whirlwind romance and got engaged after only a few weeks of dating. Nine days later, they were married.
The drama of their romance led to two seasons of Khloé & Lamar, an E! reality show. But Kardashian filed for divorce in 2013. It is alleged that the cause of their relationship ending was his use of alcohol and drugs, and he was arrested for a DUI. She also said later that she discovered his infidelity.
“Lamar was so great at making me feel like I was the only one and I’m this princess. I never speculated cheating … so I didn’t know about cheating … until before the DUI,” Kardashian told Howard Stern in 2016. “It is humiliating on any level, but I found out he was cheating on me the majority of our marriage, I just didn’t know.”
Odom confirmed the infidelity talking to Us Weekly later on, saying, “Bitches and THOTs came out of the woodwork. If there is one thing I regret when I was married, it was having multiple affairs with different women. That wasn’t the stand-up thing to do. I wish I could have kept my dick in my pants.”
In July 2015, Odom was found unconscious at a brothel. Kardashian paused divorce proceedings to help him recover. The divorce was finalized in 2016.
French Montana
In 2014, Kardashian briefly dated rapper French Montana. He joined the party for her 30th birthday in Las Vegas that summer. Things were a bit off-and-on, but it ended for good in December 2014, per E! News.
In an interview with Haute Living in 2019, Montana shared that they were and are good friends.
“I feel like we had a real dope relationship—there was no bad blood, nobody did something to somebody that we couldn’t come back from,” he said. “When the love was like that, it’s always going to be like that. Friendship after a relationship is something that’s real hard to do, and I’m glad we’ve been able to do it.”
James Harden
In July 2015, Kardashian was linked to NBA star James Harden. The two faced challenges navigating their busy schedules. Kardashian told Entertainment Tonight, “I mean, we make it work. We do make it work. …I do like to put my relationships as a priority, and I really try to make that work. As long as people are making the effort to do so, I think anything can work.”
They split up in February 2016, and sources told People that Odom’s hospitalization that October was a source of tension.
“It hasn’t been easy. James obviously has wanted to see her more and be with her more, but she’s felt like she needed to stay in L.A. to be with her family and to deal with Lamar stuff,” the insider explained. “That has put some strain on things.”
Trey Songz
Kardashian and Trey Songz were seen kissing in Las Vegas in July 2016, which is where the musician was performing, according to Entertainment Tonight. Page Six reported the pair went to Kevin Hart’s wedding to Eniko Parrish in August.
“They are talking and hanging out, but it’s casual for now,” a source said. Things seemed to fizzle out shortly afterward.
Tristan Thompson
In September 2016, Kardashian began one of her longest relationships with basketball player Tristan Thompson. They became Instagram official in December, and one year later, they announced they were expecting their first child together.
Kardashian gave birth to their daughter, True Thompson, in April 2018. Around that same time, Thompson was embroiled in a cheating scandal after being seen with another woman in New York City.
The couple worked on repairing their relationship. Then in February 2019, he was accused of cheating with Jordyn Woods, a close friend of Kardashian’s sister, Kylie Jenner. Woods later appeared on Red Table Talk episode with Jada Pinkett Smith for Facebook Watch, saying that the basketball player kissed her on the lips, and that’s all that took place.
Initially, Kardashian lashed out at Woods on social media, but she walked back her statement and placed blame on Thompson again.
The couple eventually reunited again and was officially back together in August 2020. They split again in June 2021 after Thompson was seen with more women in Los Angeles. They later reconciled. In December 2021, it was revealed that personal trainer Maralee Nichols was expecting a child with Thompson. Thompson offered a public apology for cheating. Still, Kardashian ended her romantic relationship with him, seemingly for good.
A rep told E! and People in July 2022 that the pair was expecting a second child together via surrogate. Their son, Tatum, was welcomed on July 28, 2022. In the months since, they remain co-parents and friends.
