Kim Kardashian will be home for the holidays, but she won’t be touting along her new boyfriend just yet. An insider told People on Dec. 22 that, despite initial hints that the couple would spend Christmas together in Los Angeles, “Kim is celebrating Christmas with the kids and won’t see Pete.”
It’s as yet unclear why the Saturday Night Live star will miss the big family gathering—he apparently has nothing to fear from Kris Jenner, though the jury’s still out on Kardashian’s ex Kanye West. But the People insider reports the new couple are currently in L.A. and will remain together up until the holiday. At that point, Davidson will likely trek back to the East Coast to prepare for his New Year’s Eve hosting gig with Miley Cyrus.
Kardashian and Davidson only recently returned to California after a trip to New York City, where they rented out a theater to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home on Staten Island and shared a meal at Angelina’s Ristorante. Later, paparazzi snapped Davidson flashing the camera a cheeky grin as he left the hotel where Kardashian was staying.
Initially, the couple was expected to spend Christmas with the Kardashian-Jenner clan, as an E! News source reported, “[Kim]’s really excited about having him around and Kris is already obsessed with him. The whole family is a fan of Pete’s and would love to spend a holiday with him.” But fans of 2021’s most unexpected—or, depending whom you ask, most emblematic—couple needn’t worry about any trouble brewing between the duo. A source told People in November that “[Pete]’s exactly what Kim needed after her divorce—someone to make her laugh and just have a fun time with.” In L.A. this week, Davidson was spotted driving Kardashian’s Rolls-Royce to the jewelry store XIV Karats in Beverly Hills, where he left with a handful of shopping bags. No reports yet on what that’s all about, but, regardless—it’d be tough to argue Kardashian isn’t having a ball.
