Kim Kardashian Breaks Down Her Recycled Dolce & Gabbana Look For Kourtney’s Wedding

Culture

For Kourtney Kardashian’s wedding in Portofino, Italy, last weekend, it seemed like everyone was wearing Dolce & Gabbana. Some of these outfits were new, but because it’s a wedding, it makes sense that some were old (though none were blue). Also wearing Dolce & Gabbana, Kim Kardashian was stunning in black, with her platinum locks swept into a loose updo.

This weekend, Kim revealed that her gown was one she has been seen in before, a black maxi dress with a fishtail cut. She originally purchased it in 2011, and wrote in her Instagram Stories, “Fun fact about this look for the wedding! I know you guys just saw me in my archive on last week’s episode of The Kardashians! I have every piece photographed and on an app. So when I knew I was going to Italy (LOVE a theme for a trip) I pulled all my Dolce & Gabbana clothes to try on again and see if I could re-wear anything!”

She then shared a photo of herself in the dress on the red carpet for the Glamour Awards, saying she purchased it at Bergdorf Goodman.

Kim then wrote that she dressed the outfit up with another layer of lace, writing, “But to make the dress more modern and more me, I wore this lace gloved Vetements dress I had in my closet for a layered lace look.”

The 41-year-old beauty mogul also added detail to her new look with some amazing accessories, including a choker of green stones in a gold setting. She took a number of photos with her daughter, North West, who was also wearing an outfit from the Italian fashion house. North had a long black jacket with a white pattern inside the cuffs, and she wore big chunky boots and carried a black clutch with a heart-shaped clasp. Perfect Italian glamour.
