Kylie Jenner Goes OOO for Khy’s New Vacation Drop

Fashion

It only makes sense that Kylie Jenner, patron saint of bikini pictures, should make her own swimwear. The latest launch for Khy, Jenner’s clothing brand, just dropped today after the model teased photos from the vacation-themed collection on Instagram earlier this week.

The 28-piece collection (comprising 16 swimwear items and 12 cover-ups) is the brand’s eighth capsule since its November 2023 launch and features a variety of cuts and coverage options to wear in and out of the pool. Much to customers’ delight, the Vacation Drop stays true to the brand’s core principle of inclusivity. Sizes range from 2XS to 4XL and are priced between $34 and $88. Ahead of the drop, Kylie chatted with ELLE.com via email about her first summer collection.

On what she enjoys most about having her own clothing brand

I really love seeing everyone wearing the pieces we’ve worked so hard on. I’ve also loved working with some amazing designers, who I have admired and worn for years, to bring elevated collaborations to the brand. We actually have some amazing collaborations coming later this year that I am so excited about. I think my favorite part is getting to be creative in an area that’s a new outlet for me. Every drop we do has its own unique identity and vision, and it’s so rewarding when I finally shoot the campaign for something we’ve been working on for a while, and I get to see it all come together.

On her most worn Khy items

I would say the Sueded Stretch Low Rise Pants and Twisted Top from my Day to Night drop, and the Mesh Scoop Neck Dress and Tube Midi Dress from my new Vacation Shop. For my first Khy swim launch, I wanted to create a collection where the cover-ups could also be worn as a complete look. So they aren’t just pieces for the pool or the beach but looks you can wear to and from the pool to lunch, dinner—wherever you’re going this summer. The mesh pieces are super lightweight and can be worn over your swim to complete your look. We also developed cover-ups in our new Soft Stretch fabric, which is amazing, soft, and stretchy but less sheer than the mesh if you’re looking for more coverage. Everything was designed to be worn together; it can be mixed and matched and easy to take with you.

On whether the brand will maintain its affordable prices

My whole vision for Khy, from the beginning, was to bring high-quality fashion to my audience at an attainable price. That’s really the core of the brand. I love that with our price points, we can bring a luxury fashion aesthetic to a bigger audience and introduce them to iconic brands and designers through our collaborations. I’ve had so many people tell me how many compliments they get when they wear their Khy pieces or that people are asking them where they got their looks, and that’s what I want for the brand. I love that I can create these amazing pieces that reflect my personal style and items that I personally love to wear. [I also love to] give our customers access to fashion that makes them feel really stylish and put together.

Water, sunglasses, a digital camera, sunscreen, Kylie Skin Lip Butter, a cute hat, and one of my Khy Vacation Shop cover-ups.

On her ideal vacation

My perfect vacation is somewhere tropical, either with my friends or family—or both. If I’m on vacation, it’s an opportunity to disconnect for a minute and spend time with the people I love.
