Machine Gun Kelly on the Lengths He Went to Meet Megan Fox, the ‘Most Compassionate Person Ever’

Drew Barrymore hosted Machine Gun Kelly on her talk show last week and got the musician to share his side of how his love story with Megan Fox began. Barrymore first asked Kelly about how Fox handles his darker moments. “When you get dark and deep, does Megan go, ‘aw honey’ or is she like, ‘lighten up?’” Barrymore asked.

Kelly had candid, adoring words about his partner of over a year: “Oh, no, she’s the most compassionate person ever, but I think like my dark is just so dark, she’s like, ‘Oh god,’” he admitted. “But no, she’s super compassionate. She’s the nicest person I’ve ever met and like, she loves me for me and all my crazy so.”

Barrymore then asked about their first real meeting, and Kelly revealed that the only reason he signed onto the movie they met on, Midnight in the Switchgrass, was to meet her.

“We were filming a movie, which ironically the only reason I took the movie was because they were like, ‘Your scene’s with Megan Fox,’ and I was like, ‘I’ll take the movie,’” he recalled. “But I stayed outside the trailer, and my gut is always right and I’m grateful for it because for some reason I knew she would invite me for lunch. And then, all of a sudden, someone came over and was like, ‘Megan wants to know if you want to have lunch in her trailer.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my god, I’m so surprised. Yeah, absolutely.’”

“And I went in there, she said, ‘How do you feel?’” Kelly continued. “And I said, ‘I’m lost.’ And she said, ‘Let’s find you.’ And I was like…killed me. She was cupid.”

Fox told her side of that story a year ago during their July 2020 interview on Lala Kent and Randall Emmett’s podcast, Give Them Lala … With Randall.

When she found out Kelly had been cast with her, “immediately, I was like, ‘Uh oh,’” Fox recalled, via Entertainment Tonight. “Because I knew—I could feel that some wild shit was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn’t yet sure what. I just felt it, like, deep in my soul—that something was going to come from that. I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame. Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time. So we’re actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away.”

“I think it was the second day [of filming],” she continued. “I asked him to come into my trailer for lunch, and I put him through all of this astrology stuff. I went deep right away. I knew before I even did his chart, I said to him, he has a Pisces moon. I could tell by his energy.”
