Just a few days after announcing her new Fenty Hair line, Rihanna celebrated its launch in Los Angeles. The singer posed in a red custom Khaite set, featuring a leather jacket and skirt. She accessorized with jewelry from Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi, REZA, and David Webb. She had her short blonde natural hair on show for the event.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rihanna spoke about her line and then quickly shut down pregnancy rumors before they could even start. She told the outlet that while she’d like to expand her family someday, that moment isn’t happening now. Rihanna has two sons with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky: 2-year-old RZA and 1o-month-old Riot.

When asked if she’d like to have more kids, Rihanna said, “You know what, I hope so. I do.” She added, “I’m not pregnant, if that’s what you’re asking.”

The outlet’s reporter clarified they weren’t asking that. Rihanna replied, “I’m joking, okay. I would definitely have more kids.”

She also reassured Extra in a separate interview that she is not retiring from music, despite wearing a top that said “I’m retired this is as dressed up as I get.”

“That was just me looking into the future,” she said. “I’m not retired. I just like that dress. I got it as a gift and I loved it… They didn’t read the second line, I’m not retired, I’m just retired from dressing up—it’s a lot of effort.”

As for her line, which launched early-access products on June 10, Rihanna spoke about how her team spent four years developing everything.

“Inclusivity has always been a big big deal for us, and we didn’t want to change that with going into a new category, which is hair,” she said of their approach. “We wanted to make sure that we applied that, and we started off trying to make one product for all hair types and then, you know, that’s just like one of those things—you can’t. So we had to shift gears.”

“Everyone was included, all hair types,” she added. “Hair is different for everyone.”
