Shemar Moore is showing off what’s hiding underneath his “S.W.A.T.” uniform. The actor shared a shirtless workout video on Instagram ahead of his 53rd birthday later this week, and it’s quite the treat for the eyes. “Word on the street is I got a birthday coming up….. oh sh*t, well then let’s get my Birthday suit out the cleaners!!!” Moore wrote in the caption on April 16. He also gave a shoutout to his trainer, Kevin Hosty of In Training LA, adding, “Thank You for pushing me to be my kind of Great again!!! Still work to do and pounds to shed… but I’m coming!!!! No excuses!!!! Keeping my Dream Alive!! Operation A GAME!!!”

In the clip, Moore uses a cable machine to crush 15 consecutive low chest flies (yes, we counted each one with pleasure) while maintaining a staggered stance like a pro. His bulging arm muscles and abs are on full display as he pushes through the set with the same look of sheer determination as Derek Morgan when he’s solving a murder on “Criminal Minds.”

Moore is anything but shy about documenting his hard work in the gym, regularly sharing shirtless photos and peeks into his workout routine on social media. While posting an ab-baring mirror picture last summer, the star wrote, “I REFUSE to have a ‘Dad Bod’… 52 aiming to look 32!!! I’M COMING BACK!!!!” Since becoming a father with the arrival of his baby daughter earlier this year, Moore has certainly accomplished that goal, and we sincerely hope he continues posting footage from his fitness journey — y’know, for research purposes.
