Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have spent nearly a month apart now following his appearance at her July 18 Eras Tour show right before his Kansas City Chiefs training camp began on July 21. But absence has only made the heart grow fonder, a source made clear to Entertainment Tonight.
That insider detailed how the two stars have been managing their long-distance relationship. The source said that this kind of relationship is a first for them, despite both of their storied dating histories: “Their connection is unlike anything that they’ve ever experienced before,” the insider shared.
Swift and Kelce are committed to doing the work to maintain it, the source added: “Taylor and Travis always prioritize each other even when they are physically apart. They are still in constant communication texting and FaceTiming each other.”
Kelce, in particular, is a big gift giver. “[They’re] very affectionate with each other even when they’re apart,” the insider explained. “Travis sends Taylor flowers and loves to shower her with surprise gifts and tokens of gratitude.”
Some reports have come out about Kelce’s alleged gifts, including The Sun claiming in late July that Kelce gave Swift $71,950 worth of presents from Valentino, Prada, Bottega Veneta, and Fendi earlier this summer.
Multiple sources have talked now about Kelce and Swift being amazed by their connection. In December, an insider gave Us Weekly near-identical intel about their long-distance habits too, while discussing Swift’s view on their romance.
“When they can’t physically be together, they are constantly texting, calling, and FaceTiming,” the Us source said. “Taylor’s relationship with Travis is like nothing she’s ever experienced before. They got serious fairly quickly and she was proud to show off their relationship from the jump.”
Swift and Kelce’s current long-distance stretch is close to ending. Swift will play the final show of her European leg on August 20. From there, she’ll be on a tour break until October 18, when she’ll begin her Miami shows. Don’t be surprised to see Swift in the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium, cheering on Kelce as his NFL season begins. A source told People in early July that Swift is “going to try to attend as many games as possible.”
The source also said, much like Entertainment Tonight’s and Us Weekly’s insiders, “They’re very serious about each other, and the relationship feels different for both of them.”
