Like many other girlfriends, Taylor Swift convinced her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, to make a change to his appearance—in part for her benefit.
Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes told SiriusXM NFL Radio that Swift is the reason Kelce now has a longer hairstyle. The tight end had a buzzcut fade when he first started dating Swift. “I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out and all of a sudden Taylor gets him to do it,” Mahomes said.

Swift has also influenced Kelce’s music taste a bit. Kelce told Entertainment Tonight in April that “it’s definitely been fun to experience her taste in music, for sure. She’s so amazing at what she does. And to find that creativity to see where she likes to pull things from and just, really, how she listens to music is very eye-opening for me. It’s been fun to hear her take on it.”
In the November 2023 WSJ magazine interview where Kelce first spoke in detail about Swift, he marveled over her intelligence. “I’ve never been a man of words,” he said. “Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been fucking mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.”
Swift and Kelce have been together over a year now. They are currently on different continents as Swift finishes up her Eras Tour’s European leg this week, and Kelce continues training camp and his NFL preseason. Swift will be on a break from August 21 to October 18, when she’ll resume tour in Miami.
