There’s More Evidence That Zendaya Might’ve Debuted an Engagement Ring at the 2025 Golden Globes

There’s now more evidence that Zendaya may have debuted an engagement ring from her longtime partner, Tom Holland, at last night’s Golden Globes. Zendaya made an outfit change during the night, switching out of her Louis Vuitton ball gown and into a cream and gold embroidered column dress. She removed all the Bulgari jewelry she wore on the red carpet but kept the rumored diamond engagement ring on her left hand.

Bulgari released details on the jewelry its ambassador wore on the red carpet: Her platinum diamond and tourmaline necklace, right hand ring, and diamond stud earrings. The only piece that wasn’t included was the left hand yellow gold ring, an additional clue that the piece was likely Zendaya’s own.

The Los Angeles Times reported that at the ceremony, one of their recently-engaged reporter tried asking Zendaya about the rumor by flashing her own engagement ring. Zendaya “responded by flashing her own bling on her left hand, doing a sort of jazz-fingers motion,” the outlet wrote. The reporter then asked if she was engaged. Zendaya, in response, “kept showing her ring, smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously.”

Unverified celeb gossip Instagram DeuxMoi ran a blind item claiming the ring was indeed an engagement ring and over $200,000 from London-based jeweler Jessica McCormack.

Expert opinions differ on the value of Zendaya’s rumored engagement ring. One noted that because Zendaya is a Bulgari ambassador, the fact that she wore this yellow gold piece speaks volumes about its significance.

Laura Taylor, a jeweler at Lorel Diamonds, estimated in a statement that the rumored engagement ring could be worth $370,000 to $500,000. Taylor noted that the yellow gold ring “has sparked plenty of speculation online, especially since it isn’t part of the jewelry provided to her by Bulgari. When celebrities partner with brands, it’s usually the case that they cannot wear any other jewelry on the red carpet unless it is personal, such as a wedding or engagement ring.

“That said, Zendaya has previously mentioned that she wouldn’t casually reveal something so personal, so it’s also possible that the ring is a vintage or personal piece chosen to complement her Old Hollywood-inspired look for the night.”

Taylor said of the ring itself, “[It] features a sizable diamond, likely in the 5-6 carat range, set on a simple yellow gold band. While it’s difficult to confirm the exact cut from the photos, it could be a round brilliant diamond, known for its exceptional sparkle, or possibly an oval diamond set east-west, which gives a slightly more modern twist. Both cuts are timeless choices, with the round brilliant being a classic symbol of elegance and the oval offering a more contemporary look. If this is indeed an engagement ring, its understated design suggests a focus on quality over flashiness. Instead of opting for something overly showy, Tom may have chosen to prioritize sourcing a high-quality center diamond. The diamond appears to be of excellent quality, likely VVS clarity and near-colorless (D-F), which would place the ring’s value at approximately £300,000-£400,000 ($370,000-$500,000), depending on whether it is natural or lab-grown.”

Experts at the U.K. jewelry company Steven Stone put it around $300,000, “though I wouldn’t be surprised if it was worth even more,” CEO Zack Stone said in a statement. Stone also noted that the ring’s design does indeed seem to be from Jessica McCormack.

Stone said, “Zendaya’s ring showcases a 6 carat cushion-cut diamond in a timeless solitaire setting, elegantly perched on a yellow gold band. Known for its antique-inspired design, the cushion-cut diamond is revered for its unique blend of elegance and romance. It’s said to symbolize individuality, adventure, and tradition–qualities that align perfectly with Zendaya’s distinctive style. The ring appears to be a button-back engagement design, featuring a button-shaped metal piece at the back of the setting. This signature design by renowned London jeweler Jessica McCormack is crafted to ensure the diamond or gemstone sits comfortably against the skin.”

Of course, neither Zendaya, Tom Holland, nor either of their reps has confirmed that the couple is engaged. It is a possibility, however. This past April, a source told People, “There has been talk of marriage, and that is a reality.”

That same insider said they are not likely to share the news publicly. “They are not the kind of stars who put their lives together out there on social media for the most part,” the source said. “Both are private. [The attention fame brings them] has never been easy or comfortable for either of them.”
