On Saturday, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary by sharing the same photo from their reception on their Instagram timelines. The black and white image was taken in 2009, and shows Brady leaning in to kiss his new wife on the nose as she embraces him, clutching a bouquet in one hand.
“13 years ago, we both said ‘I do,’” Brady wrote in his caption. “….and you have been the best thing that ever happened to my life. I love you more now than I ever could have imagined. You are the best mother and wife and supporter in the world and I am blessed to call you my wife.”

In Portuguese, Bündchen’s native language, Brady added, “Te amo muito meu amor,” concluding, “’happy anniversary @gisele.”
On her account, Bündchen shared the same photo, but captioned it simply, “Happy anniversary love of my life! Te amo! @tombrady.”
The couple was married in Santa Monica, California, on February 26, 2009, with a small group of family and friends. For the reception, the model wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress. At the time, Brady told GQ that they planned the wedding “in like ten days.”
“It was perfect,” he said. “We went back to the house and I barbecued aged New York strips. We had champagne, a cake, some ice cream. It was a great night.”
They went on to have a second wedding in Costa Rica in a sunset ceremony on the beach.
In February of this year, Brady announced his retirement from football, and Bündchen wrote a loving message to him on Instagram congratulating him on his storied career.
