On Saturday night, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were seen holding hands as they left Nobu in New York City, but that wasn’t their only surprise appearance that evening. A few hours later, they both made unexpected cameos on Saturday Night Live. Dinner and a show!
In photos of the pair, Swift is wearing an oversized grey trench coat over a black ensemble, with high-heeled sandals. Her hair is up and she’s wearing a short chain necklace and her signature red lip. Kelce was wearing brown slacks with white sneakers and a white button-down under a jacket printed with an abstract pastel pattern.
Kelce popped up in the first sketch of the night on SNL, during a parody of Fox NFL Sunday. Kenan Thompson played host Curt Menefee, making a joke of the Swift coverage that has become central to game day since the pair started dating.
“All right. It’s week seven, and if any Taylor Swift fans are watching, the Chiefs game was on Thursday. You just missed her,” Thompson joked.
The group starts arguing about Swift’s dating history, the meaning of her music, and her relationship to Kelce, before Thompson interjects, “Okay. I’m done! When we get back, we are going to speak with someone who actually wanted to talk about football.”
The camera then cuts to Kelce holding a mic, who says, “Yes, please!”
Swift did not make a sketch appearance. Instead, she introduced musical guest Ice Spice before her second performance of the night. The two recently worked on Swift’s “Karma” together, and the Eras Tour star seemed happy to be supporting her colleague on a big night.
Kelce and Swift were in Kansas City together on Thursday after the Chiefs played against the Denver Broncos. It looked like Swift then spent the night at Kelce’s mansion after photos showed her security vehicle parked outside the next morning. He was seen leaving her NYC apartment in early October following his game against the Jets in Rutherford, New Jersey. Kelce apparently has the weekend free to hang out with Swift in her city, and SNL was just the kick-off.
