Ever since Taylor Swift released The Tortured Poets Department, Travis Kelce has kept quiet about the new album and the two songs on the record believed to be about him: “The Alchemy” and “So High School.” (Fan theorize a third, “The Albatross,” is about their relationship, too.) However, a source who knows Kelce spoke to Entertainment Tonight today, revealing what the football star thinks about being the subject of a few tracks.
He is thrilled to be her muse, the source said: “Travis is so supportive of the entire album and loves that he is a part of Taylor’s story. He is a Swiftie through and through, and is very proud of her.”
The source also addressed why Swift wrote about her exes Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy, along with Kim Kardashian, in her latest work.
“Expressing herself through her music has always been therapeutic for Taylor,” they said. “It gives an outlet to move forward, feel empowered, and turn her experiences into art.”
The source’s intel comes five days after another source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how Kelce was supporting Swift during her release week.
“[He] couldn’t be more supportive and is pumped for Taylor,” that insider began. “He knows how much this means to her and thinks she’s extremely talented. Taylor and Travis admire each other’s creative processes and work ethic. They cheer each other on, respect each other’s opinions, and are open and communicative.”
Kelce shared his first impressions of The Tortured Poets Department back in February. “I have heard some of it,” he revealed at a Super Bowl press conference. “It is unbelievable. I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.”
