Taylor Swift flew from Tokyo to Las Vegas to watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, compete in the Super Bowl earlier this year. He, in turn, got her and his friends and family a suite—one that literally cost him millions.
At least he alluded that much in a hot mic conversation with tight end George Kittle in the Netflix show Receiver, per TMZ. A clip shared on TikTok featured him sharing that the suites cost “fucking $3 million.”
Kelce spoke ahead of the game about the cost of Super Bowl seats during his New Heights podcast episode that ran on Thursday, February 8.
He said, “I’m not really doing much different other than just counting how much money I’m spending on this damn Super Bowl for family and friends to come. Just making sure I’m on top of those finances and losing all this money.”
His mother, Donna Kelce, also spoke on about the price of suites on the The Today Show ahead of the Super Bowl. She said, “You can understand that the boxes in Vegas are multimillion dollars, so I have a feeling I’m not in a box. I have a feeling I’m in the stands, so far as I know I’m in the stands with everybody else because it is a pricey Super Bowl.”
Of course, Kelce’s loved ones were ultimately all put together in a suite. It’s unclear whether the tight end got a discounton the price, but TMZ reported on February 10 that Kelce did, in fact, pay for it on his own. He covered the price of the suite “because he just wants everyone to enjoy Super Bowl Sunday together,” the outlet wrote.
Fortunately, Kelce won the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs, leading to Swift and Kelce’s viral post-game reunion and kiss. On the field, she was filmed telling him that the game “was unbelievable! It was unbelievable! It was—that was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.” Seems like the investment was well worth it.
