Travis Kelce Wore His Own Taylor Swift Easter Eggs on Grammys Night

Culture

Taylor Swift paid tribute to Travis Kelce with her Kansas City Chiefs-red Vivienne Westwood corset minidress at the 2025 Grammys last night. And Kelce, who was unable to attend the show with her as he and his team are preparing for the Super Bowl, honored his girlfriend with his golden outfit as well.

Kelce was photographed arriving in New Orleans, where the Super Bowl will take place next Sunday. He was wearing a Grammys-gold Palm Angels tracksuit. He accessorized with Versace sunglasses, a Louis Vuitton bag, and a vintage Super Bowl baseball cap referencing the 1997 game, which was held in New Orleans as well. (Notably, Swift wore a Louis Vuitton ensemble to his AFC Championship game.)

Some fans theorized the couple actually coordinated their outfits so that together, their ensembles would be an Easter egg of her “Daylight” lyric: “I once believed love would be (Burnin’ red) / But it’s golden / Like daylight, like daylight / Like daylight, daylight.”

Swift’s Grammys look had another Kelce Easter egg: a “T” chain hanging off her thigh.

The initial charm appears to be a nod to her Reputation song “Call It What You Want” where Swift sings, I want to wear his initial / On a chain ’round my neck, chain ’round my neck / Not because he owns me / But ’cause he really knows me.”

When she first released the song, the lyrics referenced her then-boyfriend Joe Alwyn. But Swift has a habit of tweaking her music so it fits her current life. She famously altered the lyrics of another song about Alwyn to reflect her new relationship with Kelce during her Eras Tour.

The lyric of “Karma” from Midnights originally went: “Karma is the guy on the screen / Coming straight home to me.” But she started singing it as: “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs / Coming straight home to me.”

While Swift and Kelce couldn’t be together on Grammys night, they will likely reunite on Super Bowl Sunday.

Last month, Kelce spoke about how supportive Swift is of his football career, revealing she is not trying to get him to retire. She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” he shared. “She loves coming to Arrowhead [Stadium] and coming to the games and cheering for me so I’ve got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”
