After over two years, Euphoria is back and fans were treated to a juicy new episode to mark its return. The season 2 premiere doesn’t hold back: It starts off introducing Fezco’s backstory (he learned to run a drug dealing business from his grandmother) and showing him in present day with Rue and Ashtray heading together to a deal that turns violent real quick.
The rest of the night is set at a New Year’s Eve party, where things get even wilder: Rue has a near-death experience while doing drugs with a new guy named Elliot, she expresses her feelings to Jules, Cassie and Nate have a surprising bathroom hookup, and, most of all, Fezco beats Nate up for some long-awaited vengeance. The fans ate up every bit of it.

Given his flashbacks and his sweet revenge, Fez emerged as the star of the evening. In fact, the last few minutes of the episode revolved around him breaking a liquor bottle on Nate’s head and brutally punching him until their fight (if you can even call it that) is forcibly broken up. In unexpected couple news, newly single Cassie and Nate end up together after running into each other at a convenience store. He drives her to the NYE party (going nearly a hundred miles an hour) and next thing you know, they’re making out in the bathroom at the venue—that is until Maddy, Nate’s ex and Cassie’s best friend, starts pounding on the door to use the toilet. When Nate leaves, Cassie hides in the tub and makes it out alive without Maddy seeing her. This new love triangle is on the verge of erupting and the crowd is just waiting to see it happen.
