The Love Is Blind season 2 finale was pretty surprising, especially when it came down to which couples tied the knot and which went their separate ways.
While Mallory and Sal hinted that they might try to make their relationship work after the show, fans are ready for an update about their love story. Here’s what we know about Mallory and Sal’s relationship so far.
What happened in the Love Is Blind finale?
Fan favorites Mallory Zapata and Salvador Perez had one of the sweetest moments at the altar. Despite the pair deciding to not get married, they were nothing but respectful about it. Sal even addressed Mallory’s family and friends to make sure they knew how special she was to him.
Ultimately, it was Sal who called off the wedding, telling Mallory, “I cannot. I feel like I just need more time.” Mallory seemed to respect Sal’s decision, and the pair had a discussion after the ceremony.

While it wasn’t clear whether or not they were going to stay together, Mal and Sal seemed to be on good terms at the end of the Love Is Blind finale. Plus, Sal suggested that they should go on a date without any cameras pointed at them, and Mal agreed, which has us wondering if they ended up dating.
Are Sal and Mallory still together?
On February 25, Sal was interviewed by Us Weekly, and opened up about the wedding day. “I was a roller coaster of emotions [at the wedding],” he revealed. “I was just feeling everything, and I really was trying to wrap my head around everything that we had been through together.” He continued, “I was really just kind of summarizing it in my head and I knew that at that moment of my wedding, I just wanted to make that choice with her. I wanted to see how I felt in that moment with her. It was a crazy day.” It certainly seems as though Sal might have said “I do” on the day under different circumstances, and that his feelings for Mal were intense.
Sal also expressed some regret at not being more open with his emotions during the series. “I wish I would’ve, maybe, [had] those raw, emotional arguments a little bit more with Mallory,” he explained to Us Weekly. “I feel like those are key to our story and I just think that, maybe, a little bit more of that would’ve been nice.”
Discussing his life post-Love Is Blind, Sal also teased, “I am very happy. And I know Mallory is very happy too.” Could that mean that they ended up together?
Although Mal and Sal haven’t shared much about one another on social media, they do appear to follow each other. On February 1, Mallory promoted Love Is Blind on Instagram, revealing that she was a contestant in the new season. Sal could be find lurking in the comments, writing, “Getting it Mal,” with some fire and applause emojis, which strikes us as supportive rather than romantic.
When Sal promoted his appearance with an Instagram post, Mallory returned the favor and commented, “Yassss! 🙌🔥.” Again, it’s a pretty nondescript comment, and seems more friendly than anything.
While Instagram doesn’t provide many other clues, Sal looked as though he might be dating someone else during the summer of 2021. Or he might just have been hanging out with some friends, who knows?! Either way, Mallory wasn’t there.
Of course, there are some viewers who are relieved that Sal and Mal didn’t make it down the aisle. And some are wondering if Sal got back together with the ex-girlfriend that showed up at his sister’s house upset during filming.

Some fans are holding out hope that Mal and Sal will make it work, while others are shipping a totally different Love Is Blind pairing: Sal and Deepti Vempati.
Deepti sparked rumors when she took to her Instagram Stories to share a cozy-looking selfie taken with Sal. It seems that the pair had reunited in Las Vegas at the Love Is Blind chapel to help promote the season 2 finale. They weren’t alone, however, and were joined by other cast members. But eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but think that the twosome made quite the couple.
