Just in time for spooky season, Marvel’s infamous witch Agatha Harkness has returned to the screen. The character played by Kathryn Hahn, who turned hearts (and cast trouble-making spells) in MCU series WandaVision, is now the center of her own series on Disney+.
“I knew it was going to be a real new adventure,” Hahn told the New York Post, teasing the series. “It felt like there was something on a deeper level than just, like, magic and witches, and the music, which is so fun. But there was something about the whole search for your power, which was something else.”
She further elaborated Agatha’s arc speaking to USA Today. “Through this personal journey, we open the world of the MCU to witches, which is so awesome, and also we really open up the message of finding one’s own power. How do we evolve? How do we look at growing older? Can we see that it’s the most powerful chapters the older we get? That the wisdom that we have gained becomes an asset and not a liability is really charged and exciting.”
While Hahn stars as the titular character, she finds herself in exciting company. Aubrey Plaza and the Lila Calderu star as fellow witches, Rio Vidal and Lila Calderu, respectively. Heartstopper’s Joe Locke is also in tow as a nameless teen with an affinity to the witches. Here’s how to follow along with their antics this season.
