When to Catch New Episodes of True Detective: Night Country on HBO

Culture

True Detective has returned to HBO for a fourth season after a nearly five-year hiatus. This six-episode season, officially titled True Detective: Night Country, takes place in icy Alaska and follows detectives Liz Danvers, played by Jodie Foster, and Evangeline Navarro, played by Kali Reis, who are on the case to uncover several mysterious disappearances.

Per Warner Bros, “When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”

Foster and Reis join a long list of stars who have fronted the HBO series, including Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in season 1; Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, and Vince Vaughn in season 2; and Mahershala Ali in season 3. Writer and director Issa López, who Foster called her “favorite new collaborator” in her ELLE Women in Hollywood speech, serves as showrunner this season, ushering the acclaimed franchise into a fresh new era.

Ahead, how to catch all the new episodes of season 4 as they release.
