Taylor Swift just released 1989 (Taylor’s Version) and is gearing up to resume her Eras tour on November 9 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Travis Kelce, whom she has been very publicly dating for the last couple weeks, has another NFL game on Sunday, October 29.
Entertainment Tonight reports that Swift, on the heels of an exceptionally busy, buzzy week, is not expected to attend his away game where the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Denver Broncos at their home stadium, Empower Field.
But, a source explained, there is no issue between Swift and Kelce, who are thriving in their romance. Their relationship “brings out the best in each other,” the source said. “Taylor is loving dating Travis. He has his own goals, ambition, and success, and they complement each other. She likes that they both have their own careers and separate lives, but also connect on so many levels.”
Kelce’s family “adores Taylor,” the source said. His parents Donna and Ed Kelce “are impressed by her and think she’s sweet, giving, and caring, similarly to how Travis is. Travis is a laid-back, fun, and charismatic guy.”
Swift were last seen out in New York City on Thursday, spending time with friends, including Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, ahead of the release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
A source spoke to People on October 16 about why Swift and Kelce aren’t concerned about her tour or long distance derailing their connection.
“She’s the biggest star in the world, and it’s no secret dating an athlete is very tough, but they’ve been texting and talking on the phone between the pockets of time they get to spend with each other,” the source said.
“There’s not some looming date like, ‘Oh, she’s going back on tour’ and ‘his football schedule is getting crazy,’” the source added. “They’ll figure it out. He’s said it himself, he knows what he signed up for with this attention, but they’ve spent time under the radar too. They’re giving things a real try.”
