Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have spent the last two weeks apart. Following their Lake Como, Italy, vacation, Kelce has missed Swift’s Sweden, Portugal, and now, Madrid Eras Tour shows. The last two nights, Swift played in the Spanish city at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, and Kelce was noticeably absent from the crowd.
But that’s because Kelce has remained stateside this week. He has a good reason: Tomorrow, the Kansas City Chiefs will be going to the White House to meet President Joe Biden and celebrate their Super Bowl win. Today, Kelce and his teammate Patrick Mahomes were filmed participating in a voluntary Chiefs OTA (organized team activity during the NFL off-season) in Kansas City, Missouri.
Swift and Kelce were last seen together in Lake Como in mid-May. Kelce had traveled to see Swift’s last Paris show on May 12, and then the couple moved to Italy for their vacation. Photos came out after they left, showcasing their candlelit dinners and romantic boat rides.
Kelce was back in the public eye on May 18 when he hosted Kelce Jam in Kansas City. Swift performed in Stockholm that day.
Kelce will remain in his off-season until July 23, when the Chiefs’ training camp starts. He and his brother, Jason Kelce, will be back in Europe on June 20, where they will record an episode of their podcast, New Heights, in Cannes, France, during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, according to Page Six.
Swift will be playing her U.K. shows then, giving Kelce a great opportunity to join her before or after his event.
A source told Us Weekly last Thursday that Kelce is dedicated to seeing Swift during his off-season, even if it requires frequent flights between continents.
“He wants to support her as much as he can while he can, so he’s going to [go] back and forth from the U.S. to Europe while he has the time,” the source said, adding that he and Swift have had a “wonderful time in Europe so far.”
Kelce raved about the last Eras Tour show he went to in Paris on his podcast, saying on May 15, “It was on a whole other level.”
“I’m happy for everybody that’s in the Eras Tour that’s performing, from the dancers to the band and obviously Taylor, that it just looks like they’re having so much fun up there, and they’re absolutely killing it,” he said. “And they’re putting on a show that, you know, you won’t get anywhere else.”
Swift paid tribute to Kelce multiple times during the Paris show, including performing a mash-up of “The Alchemy,” her The Tortured Poets Department’s song rumored to be about him, and “Treacherous” from Red.
