On Thursday, June 6, Zendaya met her boyfriend Tom Holland after his performance in Romeo and Juliet at the Duke of York Theatre in London’s West End. The Challengers star was seen waiting excitedly to greet him with one of his brothers in a nearby car. Holland took a moment to say hi to fans waiting for him after the show before joining them.

The actor was wearing a gray sweater and T-shirt with black jeans and sneakers. Holland is starring in the production as Romeo while actress Francesca Amewudah-Rivers plays Juliet. The Spider-Man star actually began his career doing live theater, starring in the musical iteration of Billy Elliot in the West End as a child.

In April, Zendaya told Vogue that she “could not be more proud” of Holland’s work on the Shakespeare production, adding, “I’m going to try to see as many shows as I possibly can.”

While Zendaya did become better known after the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, she explained that her “career was already kind of going,” while Holland’s level of fame “changed overnight.”

“We were both very, very young, but my career was already kind of going, and his changed overnight. One day you’re a kid and you’re at the pub with your friends, and then the next day you’re Spider-Man,” she said. “I definitely watched his life kind of change in front of him. But he handled it really beautifully.”

It was confirmed in July 2021 that Holland and Zendaya had a romantic relationship when they were photographed kissing at a stop light in Los Angeles. They had dodged rumors of dating for years at that point, as many noted their immediate chemistry on set. She shared a story about how the couple traveled to Paris in 2022 and received a lot of attention at the Louvre.

“It was actually fine,” Zendaya said. “You just kind of get used to the fact that, Oh, I’m also one of these art pieces you’re going to take a picture of. I just gotta be totally cool with it and just live my life.”

She added that the museum let them stay after closing.

“It was one of the coolest experiences ever,” she shared. “It was like Night at the Museum.
